A Novel Idea In the mid 1960s an approach was made by members of the local Catholic Community, who had no building nearer than Kingswood, and wished to hire a room for use for worship. A meeting was arranged, and they were offered the use of the Church itself early on Sunday mornings in return for a contribution towards the cost of heating and lighting. At this time such a proposal was novel, and we suspect it came as rather a surprise, but it was of help to both Catholics and Methodists. The suggestion was eventually approved by the authorities of both Churches and the arrangement continued without difficulty for many years.
